Wayne Today (10/26)
Wayne is still in ICU at Independence Regional because they do not have a room available. He is feeling better each day from the surgery and is very eager to get home, though we don't know right now when that will be.
Our youngest son, Stinson, will be home from Laramie, WY tomorrow and will stay for a few days. We can't wait to see him. We were hoping Wayne would be home by tomorrow, but so far it does not look like that will happen.
The surgery does not seem to have provided any relief from symptoms and his symptoms are increasing.
The part of Wayne's brain that makes him "Wayne" is working fine. The part of his brain where he remembers everyone's name and everyone's children's names and everything about them is still intact. The part of his brain where he has an intense and genuine interest in other people is up and running. The part of his brain where he takes joy in other people's happiness is on full-throttle. He is still Wayne.

To the Dean Family,
Kim and I (Nora) are the parents of Sara Campbell. We have had the pleasure of meeting your son Kennedy - through Sara.
Sara shared your unexpected news with us recently. We just wanted to let you know that we have the Dean family in our prayers.
Wayne,
Thank you for sharing one of those great 2003 football games with Larry and me. Thank you for sharing Stinson with me for a second year in English. You were always an encouragement to me as a teacher, and an encouraging parent to a high school teacher is a rare find! Our prayers are with you, Jennifer, and the boys as you walk through these days knowing that Victory awaits you at the end of the race. May you continue to experience the power of His presence and all that power makes available to us, His children.

wayne - thanks for being such a patriarch of the faith in blue springs. how evident that is by posts by friends of your boys - as well as by your boys lives. it is FACT that the Lord has used you TREMENDOUSLY in life - and i know He will continue to use you - whether in life here or the after life. KNOW your legacy will live way beyond you- you have continually pointed to Christ and lived a life bringing Him glory! thats whay its all about! Christ is just waiting to say "well done" - whether sooner or later - He knows the best time to say it. :-)
thanks for being someone who EVERY conversation i had with you had to do with our Jesus and i left challenged, loved on, made to think, or encouraged.
jennifer - may minutes seem like hours and hours like days and days like weeks and weeks like months and months like years! may the God of all things slow time down for you and may you savor every moment leaving nothing unsaid or undone. may you both experience agape love through the power of the Spirit living in both of you like you never have before!
much prayers and love to you all!

Dear Wayne and Jennifer,
Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for you. Our hearts are heavy but rejoicing in the updates that we are getting from Jennifer. We cannot believe this is happening but we know that we are in your lives for a reason and that is to PRAY for you like crazy. Please know we are PRAYING. With Love and Prayers, Kathy Coleman and Melinda Hawkins at the Mom's Day of Prayer office
Jennifer,
I was at Prayer Force last Saturday in Torrance and it was as life changing as Fern said. She told me I had to go and she was right. I am currently reading Fueled by Faith and just need to thank you and Wayne for being faithful to give this ministry your all. I have been missing the blessing of peace by focusing on the challenges before me an not on God's face. My children will benefit from your obedience and God's grace and interevention in their mother's life. Know that I pray for you, Wayne and the boys when I think of you throughout the day.
Thank you,
Georgene Kamphuis
Jennifer, Wayne and boys....Last night a First Baptist Church Black Forest Colorado, Dale and I sat with Dale and Marye and we as a church prayed in unity for the Dean family. We prayed for healing, we prayed for peace, we prayed for understanding, we prayed not for just acceptace be we prayed for a yearning in your hearts for the will of God. We prayed with great love for the Dean family - we prayed for time and we gave thanks that we serve a God who is worthy of our trust - even at a time when we just can't see the plan He has. We will trust His heart for each one of you. Now we will pray that you can go home and be with Jennifer and the boys. You have made a difference in so many lives - the comments each day attest to a life well lived for our Savior. Abiding in Him, Jeanne and Dale Parrott
Wayne,
I really wanted to thank you for the gift that you and your boys have given to thousands of us women across the US. As I have been privileged to meet, sit under, study, read and pray with your precious wife, Jennifer, I know that all this could not have been possible without your support and letting her go. For the impact and life changing things the Spirit has placed in my life, I say thank YOU, Wayne. Know that all that the Lord has done through her ministry is accredited to your heavenly account as well :-). Know that we here in Northern CA Moms In Touch are holding you in prayer on a daily basis.
Jennifer, know that I am hugging you in my heart and holding you in my prayers, too. Love you, Libbi Corson
Wayne,
Sorry you missed the bridge dedication at New Hope. It was a great day, a "dream come true." We will share pictures.
We are praying for you and your family.

Wayne,
Seems that you may be going to be with the Lord before I do. I thank you so much for your friendship and support. I thank you especially for your listening ear and the way you reached out to me when some family problems were almost overwhelming about 6 month's ago. Things are much better now for both Lon and Summer. Our new precious grandson, Carter, is a joy. I am so happy to see the way the Lord has led you to make changes in your career during the past few years to allow you more time to be with your family. I know that watching Him lead you and be with you and Jennifer and the boys that he will also be with me and my family forever and ever, that He will help us make wise decisions and that He will comfort us in all things. Gratefully,
Sandy and Frank Woodside
Wayne, Jennifer and boys,
Wayne, glad to hear you're feeling better with each day. Just want to let you know I hold you in my heart and prayers. I know God is watching over you all. sandy nibbelink

Dean Family,
My name is Trey Guinn and I am a friend of Brantley's. We are in the same cohort and I have had the pleasure of learning from (and with) him for the past year and a half. His ability to grasp complex issues and communicate them effectively is something that I have grown increasingly grateful for.
The way that he has so willingly and maturely shared the unexpected news of your family has impacted many of us. Our prayers are with you and it is our desire to support the Dean family in any way we can.
God's richest blessings for you and your family.
Trey Guinn
