Update
Wayne has pneumonia. Situation is bleak. He responded quickly to meds, going from completey nonresponsive to squeezing my hand in response to questions and finally being able to shake his head yes or no. His body gets a 1-2 punch and the outlook is not good. A long and draining day ends. I am grabbing a few hours sleep and will update probably late tomorrow afternoon.

May God wrap you in His loving arms so that you feel your head resting on His shoulder - and know that you are not alone. I cannot fathom what you must be feeling at this point and yet I know that your faith is strong and God will see you through. He has already used this situation to draw others nearer to Him - and I, again, say 'thank you' to you and your family for sharing as you go through this trying time. Your words are full of love - and Wayne's love for you is evident as he responds to your voice, your touch. Even in this time of trial, that is a blessing that I know you cherish. God bless you. D. Jennifer and Family,
You all were on my mind all morning while at church. The message today was from my favorite substitute pastor, Dave Owen. His text was Psalm 100: "Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."
Dave spoke of "Four Truths That Describe Grateful People". As he spoke, I thought of the testimony of the Dean family through Wayne's illness. The four truths are evident in the way you are all walking through "the valley of the shadow of death". Here are the points: 1) Grateful people live a life of worship; 2)Grateful people know God and are known by God; 3) Grateful people bless God (see also Heb. 10:24-25); 4) Grateful people are anchored in the character of God (He is good, He is faithful and His love endures forever!).
Praying for you all that the Good Shepherd will gently lead and comfort you in the midst of the storm.
In His love,
Jane Currin
My heart and my pray's are with the Dean family. We may not see beyond tomorrow ,but we know that our Lord and our Savior is working out his purpose in our life. Your book Fueled by Faith has been a blessing to me it has given to me the wisdom and the understanding of having Faith, but more than that to live my life of Faith. Thank you for listening to the voice of God as he spoke the words to you and sharing with others what you have learn. May the grace of our Savior be with you and cover you with his love as you face each day . Love Judy
Jennifer, We didn't see the post in time to pray your specific request but we remembered Wayne and you and the boys and The Holy Spirit will use those prayers to complete your prayer request. We love you.
